What is a Facelift?

A facelift, or rhytidectomy, improves the appearance of the face and the front by tightening facial muscles, removing excess fat, and tightening and removing excess skin to create a better contour, smoothing out wrinkles, and lifting the neck.

Anesthesia: Usually is performed under general anesthesia, but can be performed with local anesthesia and sedation.

Surgical time: 3-5 hrs. depending on the combination of procedures.

Recovery time: Most patients can return to normal activities after 6 WEEKS, although it is important to avoid strenuous activities for several more weeks.
Am I a good candidate for a Facelift?

The best candidates for a facelift are healthy individuals (often between 40 and 80 years old) who are nonsmokers and have reasonable expectations for their improved appearance.

Many of our facelift patients elect to combine their procedure with others, such as a brow lift, eyelid surgery, rhinoplasty, earlobe reduction or repair, microneedling/PRP, injectable fillers for the fine wrinkles around the lips, eyelid lift or forehead lift concurrently.

Our patients with less advanced wrinkling and sagging can sometimes benefit from the less invasive mini facelift, which involves smaller incisions and quicker recovery

Every patient is different, and your plastic surgery result is not the same as everyone else's. The procedure cannot stop the natural aging process.
